Details surrounding the sudden death of "Grandma" Mary Duggar are coming to light.

Mary, who often appeared alongside her family on the TLC shows "19 Kids & Counting" and "Counting On," died of an accidental drowning in a swimming pool Sunday, Washington County Coroner Roger Morris confirmed to USA TODAY Wednesday.

"It appears she slipped and fell into the pool," Morris said, adding that the accident took place at Mary's home in Springdale, Arkansas, on June 9. She was 78.
