io9/Gizmodo, reported November 29, 2018: Marvel and Netflix Have Canceled Daredevil.
The show that kicked off Marvel and Netflix’s ambitious series of interconnected superhero shows has come to an untimely end.

The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Daredevil—which recently launched its third season to acclaim—has joined Iron Fist and Luke Cage in being canceled by Netflix, as the streaming service begins to move on from its Marvel universe while Marvel Studios sets its sights on premium series for its parent company Disney’s upcoming service, Disney+.
I wish I could say I was surprised, but instead I'm just cynical.

One week after Iron Fist was canned and the same day that the long awaited third season of Daredevil launched, Netflix has canceled Luke Cage.

“Unfortunately, Marvel’s Luke Cage will not return for a third season,” Marvel and the streaming service said on Friday. “Everyone at Marvel Television and Netflix is grateful to the dedicated showrunner, writers, cast and crew who brought Harlem’s Hero to life for the past two seasons, and to all the fans who have supported the series.”

This axing of Luke Cage came as a surprise.
Unlike Iron Fist, this was probably undeserved.

Not surprised, as this was probably the worst of all the Marvel series on Netflix.

PBS, reported September 26, 2018: After 'Forty Years Of Pointed Ears,' 'ElfQuest' Ends Its Legendary Run.
The last storyline — appropriately called "The Final Quest," wrapped up earlier this year, 40 years to the day after the publication of the first issue. The Pinis aren't abandoning the elves completely — they're going to allow other creators to tell stories in their world. But they're pretty close-mouthed about what's coming next.
